The 2022 conference, taking place on September 26th - September 27th at Alsion in Sonderborg, will be the fifth conference to be held in Denmark. Following the Covid-19 break 2020 and the online issue 2021, this is the first conference with physical presence again. The conference is a successor of a series of conferences with the aim to present solutions and challenges on the way to 100% climate neutrality. The burning topic has never been more important than today.

After a one-year extension of the project duration, our sister-project mySMARTLife is finalised at the end of September 2022. The mySMARTLife Final Conference will take place on 14 - 15 September 2022 in Hamburg, Germany. The Conference will outline the transition of EU cities towards a new concept of Smart Life and Smart Economy. Furthermore, the consortium would like to share its experiences and project results with you.
Mobile Tartu conference is organised by University of Tartu and gathers leading scholars, researchers, and professionals to discuss the latest research and applications in human mobility and mobile big data. The conference features keynote speeches, presentations, panel sessions, and vibrant discussions about the conceptual, methodological, and empirical aspects of measuring mobility with the help of mobile big data and understanding related socio-spatial and human-environmental interactions.

After six years of project duration and joint efforts, SmartEnCity is now coming to an end. The consortium would like to celebrate the successful ending of the project and to share its experiences and results and cordially invites you to come to Lighthouse City Vitoria-Gasteiz to join the Final Conference on 14 - 15 June 2022.
You can expect two days packed with results, lessons learned and demonstrations - interesting, informative and interactive. On 8 and 9 June, Sonderborg will host the International Energy Agency's (IEA) annual, international conference on energy efficiency.
This 2-day international event is taking place online and will give an overview of the current state of the art measures to achieve climate neutrality, closely linked to the results of SmartEnCity project. The 2nd day will be a virtual tour to our SmartEnCity demo sites Vitoria-Gasteiz, Tartu and Sonderborg. Do not miss your chance, registration is open!
This global event will comprise of the Smarter Together final event, the 2016 sisterprojects – Replicate, SharingCities and SmartEnCity– new beginning as well as an event presenting the activities of the SCALE Secretariat.
Together with its sister projects Smarter Together, Replicate and Sharing Cities, SmartEnCity will present a joint paper highlighting the results of the projects and giving recommendations to future cities following the smart zero carbon transition journey on day 2 of the event. Explore, Shape & Deal - This year's EIP-SCC General Assembly & Matchmaking Event are taking place in Brussels on 16 and 17 May.
This year’s conference will focus on “Energy in Smart Cities” giving insights on energy-related platforms, trends and best practices... and SmartEnCity will be part of it! "The Smart Way to the big Zero" is the title of the presentation of Iben Nielsen, local projct coordinator of Lighthouse City Sonderborg. Iben was invited to give an overview about Sonderborg's transition to become a carbon free city and will be representing SmartEnCity project in the panel session "Best practices in Smart Cities" at 11 o'clock in the morning.

The Horizon 2020 Energy info day will take place on 5 October (8:30 - 15:30) in Brussels, in the Charlemagne building. It will present the upcoming funding opportunities offered by the EU's H2020 Programme to projects focusing on smart energy systems and smart cities and communities concepts.
Our sister project Triangulum will be directly involved in the organisation of the event and will contribute to its programme.SmartEnCity and further SCC1 Lighthouse projects will be part of the event as well - come meet us there!
