This webinar explains the future role of transport systems and Low Carbon Mobility in the city, as part for an integrated city transition. City transition from fossil fuel based mobility systems towards sustainable solutions still constitute a major barrier in most places, and will attract more focus and investments in the future. Considerations about city livability and future integration potentials can increase the value of these investments in cities’ journey towards smart zero carbon cities.

Best practice actions for transition of city mobility systems are presented from two of the Lighthouse Cities in the EU SmartEnCity project Sonderborg (Denmark) and Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spain), also explaining how mobility have become key in their city transitions, and what their results and learnings have been. In the webinar the participant will learn:

  • About the role of Low Carbon Mobility systems in future energy systems of the cities
  • About how to approach city transition from a fossil fuel based mobility system to sustainable solutions
  • About other cities’ strategies, learnings and results from concrete mobility actions
