District Heating construction works started in Vitoria Gasteiz’s demo area
15 Jul 2020Another major milestone reached in Lighthouse City Vitoria Gasteiz: July 2020 has been the kick off month for the District Heating Network construction works. With this actuation, citizens and district neighbours can finally see, how the ambitious plans for the new infrastructure become real.
The District Heating Network will supply domestic hot water and heating obtained from renewable energy sources to the residents of demo district Coronación.
According to the foreseen planning, works will take 12-14 months. Nowadays, 28 residential buildings, a gym on Domingo Beltrán Street, the Coronación parish on Eulogio Serdán Street and the Aldabe civic centre have joined the District Heating Network.
In the near future, an informative meeting will be organised by the City Council and the operating company with the neighbours from the participating communities and the citizens interested in learning more about the project.
