On 9 December, SmartEnCity Project Coordinator Francisco Rodríguez (TECNALIA) took part in the Plenary Assembly of the ECTP’s Energy Efficient Buildings (E2B) Committee.

The European Construction, built environment and energy efficient building Technology Platform (ECTP) gathers around 150 member organisations from across the construction sector and other sectors from the whole supply chain of the Built Environment in Europe.

The main mission of ECTP and its committees is to develop new R&D&I strategies to improve competitiveness, meet societal needs & take up environmental challenges through an Innovative Built Environment. Within that framework, Francisco presented the main lines of SmartEnCity and shared the progress and learned lessons from the demo cases of SmartEnCity’s Lighthouse Cities Vitoria Gasteiz, Tartu and Sonderborg with his keynote speech “From energy efficient buildings to a sustainable built environment – a best case example: Lighthouse Smart City projects in Vitoria, Tartu & Sonderborg.”
