Vitoria-Gasteiz' Smart Electric Bus First had its first test drive with passengers

It was the first opportunity to experience the vehicle in motion and to enjoy the benefits of the exclusive lanes and traffic light preference. This event took place within the framework of European Sustainable Mobility Week, fittingly coinciding with the “Day without my Car”.

On the first of the rides, only those passengers who had pre-registered for the initiative, boarded one of the vehicles. The SEB provided service on different journeys at 13:00, 17:00 and 19:00 hours. Vitoria-Gasteiz' citizens came in lage numbers and made use of this offer, all busses were full with all available places occupied. 

The first trips went from El Boulevard to Mendizorrotza. People were able to see all types of crossings and traffic situations that the SEB will pass along this route, as well as experiencing all the advantages that comes with its operation thanks to traffic light priority and exclusive lanes. TUVISA also took the opportunity to demonstrate the new ticket machines and the accessibility of the stops. In the same way, the citizens who took part in the experience, were able to get to know the vehicle itself first hand with all its advantages.
