Starting from the results generated within SmartEnCity project, Vitoria-Gasteiz is now developing a foresight exercise as a part of Municipality’s Integrated Energy Transition Action Plan 2030 (PATEI 2030 in Spanish), as a mid-way checkpoint towards City’s carbon neutrality strategy to be achieved in 2050.
Our 3rd lesson "Where are we now? City Analysis and Diagnoses" was taking place last week on 04 June with a presentation of the Covenant of Mayors from Alis Daniela Torres, Climate Action and Smart Cities - Monitoring, Reporting and Verification Expert as well as an introduction of SmartEnCity's Energy Balance Tool and practical insights of Lighthouse City Sonderborg and Follower City Asenovgrad.
During the last months, VISESA in collaboration with the inhabitants of the first retrofitted building, has gone through a co-creation process to achieve a shared draft for the forthcoming mural painting at Eulogio Serdán 4 early adopter’s building.
Tartu’s first virtual smart home training exceeded all expectations. The current health crisis has forced the Tartu team of the SmartEnCity project to adapt new demands and conditions in order to reach as much as possible residents. As a result, on the evening of May 27th, the first virtual smart home training took place.

The "Energibyerne" are the so-called Energy Cities in Denmark. They are all a part of the SmartEnCity Network but became the Energy Cities when they decided to work together and collaborate with each other on a national level in Denmark.
Tartu’s new bike sharing system is that popular, that the Lighthouse City has now decided to expand this service to the nearby regions as well.
