Do you want to know more about European Positive Energy Districts (PED) projects? Check out the updated version of the PED Booklet! It contains new and more cases, and provides an overview of different approaches, challenges and success factors. These PED projects contribute to sustainable urbanisation, climate action and the energy transition.

This publication has been edited by the the Programme on Positive Energy Districts and Neighbourhoods (PED Programme) Management of the Joint Programming Initiative (JPI) Urban Europe and offers a compilation of projects striving towards sustainable urbanization and energy transition.

The Programme on Positive Energy Districts and Neighbourhoods (PED Programme) has the ambition to support the planning, deployment and replication of 100 ‘Positive Energy Districts’ across Europe by 2025 for urban transition and sustainable urbanisation. Positive Energy Districts will raise the quality of life in European cities, contribute to reaching the COP21 targets and enhancing European capacities and knowledge to become a global role model.

The booklet if offering an overview on 60 cities striving towards Positive Energy Districts and Neighbourhoods and SmartEnCity’s Follower City Lecce is one of them. Information on Lecce can be found at page 171.
