Workshop "Vitoria-Gasteiz Climate Neutrality: Horizon 2030" visited demo district Coronacíon

18 May 2022

On 5 May, Municipality representants from eight Spanish cities met in Vitoria-Gasteiz to learn about the city's strategic approach to climate neutrality and decarbonisation.

This meeting allowed the participants to share the results and learnings of different initiatives in the field of energy efficiency and rehabilitation. They also had the opportunity to participate in a site visit to Coronación neighbourhood to see in situ the results of the interventions carried out by Visesa and Giroa-Veolia, and the change that the neighbourhood has undergone thanks to the European Project SmartEnCity.

This event was part of the initiatives developed within the SmartEnCity Cities Network. The SmartEnCity Network consists of small and medium-sized European cities committed to developing and implementing new smart zero carbon solutions. Many small and medium-sized cities across Europe have already developed a Sustainable Energy Action Plan (SEAP). The SmartEnCity Network helps to inspire and support these cities to take specific actions to successful implementation.
